The idea is that you can’t see the light when you play, but when you move your head, the lights will move with it. Which means that when you’re driving and looking down at the road, the lights of your car will be reflected in the road. I think this is brilliant and the next logical step for 3D games. This concept has always been a bit of a problem for me, but I also think that 3D games are going to be much more immersive. I think the best example of this is the Star Wars Saga series. The lighting was actually pretty good, but the games themselves werent. I want everything I play to be as real as possible.
I have to admit, I’m a little sad that I’ve never seen the light show in a 3D game. A lot of the games that I play are so dark, so I really wish that I could see the lights. But I guess I’ll have to sit this one out.
You can try to make light show effects if you’re really stuck for ideas. I mean, for instance, I can’t think of a single great light show in a movie. I mean, I know there were a few, but we all know the classics like The Wizard of Oz or Gone with the Wind.
